Time for action—working with lights and understanding shadows

Your project manager wants you to create the effect of a distant explosion changing the color of the scene's light.

We have to experiment with the parameters of the PointLight automatically created by the XAML exporter. It will allow us to create the desired effect.

  1. Open the project 3DInvadersXBAP in Expression Blend.
  2. Click on the Viewport3D under Objects and Timeline and expand all its children. Select [PointLight] and go to its Properties tab. Give it a name, MainLight.
