Receiving Criticism

ESCRIPTION This activity is designed to help participants respond
positively to criticism. Ideally this activity should be
followed by Activity 30.
OBJECTIVES By the end of this activity, participants will:
• Be able to recognize the difference between
constructive criticism, destructive criticism, and put-
downs.
• Be able to distinguish between valid and invalid
criticisms.
• Have practiced methods of handling valid and
invalid criticisms.
• Have experienced giving criticism.
PARTICIPANTS 3 to 20 participants
TIME 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes
