Some of us may be familiar with critical thinking from our university days or further education. It’s what you are meant to be doing, after all, alongside all the partying. While you could say that critical thinking is at the heart of academic study, it’s more of a process, a way of thinking, understanding and expressing ourselves, than a single definable skill: being able to analyse, evaluate, apply reasoning, observation, experience and reflection to make decisions. Critical thinking also has links with being more empathetic, logical and fair-minded, reasonable and rational.
