INTERFACING: DAC/ADC
is ADC interface is interrupt driven for which external interrupt input INT0 of 8051 was used. Port 1
was used to collect digitally converted data from ADC, and Port 3 signals were used for controlling operation.
A separate 555 timer is interfaced to provide the clock input to 0809 ADC. ALE and START inputs are
connected together to start the conversion immediately after latching the channel address. It is expected that
INT0 is to be programmed as falling-edge sensitive and the EOC output from the ADC is interfaced with
INT0 (P3.2) input of 8051 through an inverting buff er, like 7404.
