Information about quantifiable benefits from implementing blockchain technology is scarce. Although we know of hundreds, if not thousands, of proof of concepts and although pilots all over the world have been implemented, pre- and postquantitative benefits of such projects are difficult to find. There is hardly any information about return on investment, cost-benefit analysis, time savings, performance enhancements, and other indicators that executives can use as a reference.
The absence of quantifiable benefits may be one of the reasons holding the technology back from widespread adoption in the enterprise world.
