The Iditarod sled dog race is one of the most challenging competitions of the modern era. To be victorious, you must finish the thousand-mile race with at least six of your dogs faster than over one thousand other dogs in the race. You'll face whiteout conditions and subzero temperatures along the frozen Bering Sea coast while taking care of a team of a dozen or more dogs, each consuming five thousand calories a day to pull you along.
