About the authors
David Baker was Principal of University College Plymouth St Mark & St John (now the University of St Mark & St John) 2003–9. He is Emeritus Professor of Strategic Information Management there. He has published widely in the field of Library and Information Studies, with 15 monographs and some 100 articles to his credit. He has spoken at numerous conferences, led workshops and seminars and has undertaken consultancy work in most countries in the European Union, along with work in Ethiopia, Kuwait, Nigeria and the Sudan. He was Deputy Chair of the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) until December 2012, also having led a number of large technology-based projects, both in relation to digital and hybrid library development ...
