3. Focusing on the Work
Being free to focus on the work allows people to be productive and excel. As noted in the preceding chapter, clarifying direction and removing resistance and ambiguity through the proper usage of “you” and “I” frees people to focus on the work. The Work/Life Approach removes uncertainty and ambiguity, clarifies direction and intention, and frees people to focus on the work. From the organizational view it is imperative to be clear on the organization’s identity and purpose.
