4 Developing the Plan

Now we have gathered the information and analysed the requirements to identify what we have to deliver, we need to develop the plan.

The first key concept within the Developing the Plan stage is to recognize that there may be different levels and views of plans. Appendix 1 provides a summary of plans including those at levels above the project plan. There should be an overarching project plan, and in larger projects this will need to be broken down into a hierarchy of plans (finance, resource etc.) – all with the ability to filter for specific information.
