Preface

We started to write this book a few years ago (2013) when William (Bill) Judge, E. V. Williams Chair of Strategic Leadership at Old Dominion University and Strategy and Governance Collection Editor at Business Expert Press, approached Alessandro for writing a practical guide on corporate governance in Italy. As a scholar, Alessandro has developed several empirical studies aimed at exploring the antecedents and the consequences of governance practices. As most of his studies focus on large Italian private and listed companies, he matured a deep and first-hand knowledge on corporate governance practices in Italy.
