One-Sample Tests

There are numerous nonparametric methods for different purposes, sometimes even with the same name. Customarily, the methods are classified by the number of populations under study and their type—a convention used in this book as well. Separate sections will be devoted to one-sample, two-sample, and K-sample tests, as well as a section for correlation between two variables. Within each section, chapters will be devoted first to major topics followed by related topics and issues. Some of the tests can be classified in more than one way. For example, the goodness of fit test can be classified under one-sample, two-sample, or chi-squared tests based on the application. ...
