Performance tuning is usually one of the last things performed by developers. Unfortunately, given VB .NET's unfinished state, it's hard to perform any valid performance testing at this time. However, the .NET Framework does include new tools for monitoring performance that allow you to greatly increase your ability to monitor performance on your computer, or any computer on your network. In addition, you can create your own performance counters and monitor parts of your application with ease.
