in your data, you might want to run a test of association. Examples
include:

PROC TTEST can perform
one-sample t tests, two-sample t tests,
and paired t tests. You use
a t test when you want to compare
the means of numeric variables. PROC TTEST is a bigger step than PROC
MEANS. For example, a farmer could select a few rows of his crops
to test a new organic pesticide. He could test whether the true mean
of the growth of the crop was above a specific level (a one-sample t test). Then, the farmer could compare the results with the rest of the crop that did not receive the organic pesticide ...
