What is the best way to teach a skill? If you were learning how to ski, would you rather read a book on skiing or have your own live ski instructor demonstrate for you and then let you try it out yourself? Probably the latter. Dialogue is the same. You have to demonstrate, demonstrate, demonstrate and practice, practice, practice. All skills are best taught with demonstration and practice. Thinking skills and interpersonal skills are no different. Group members will learn by watching you and by watching each other.
