What Motivated Me to Write This Book
I was motivated to conduct the research for this book so that I could understand why there are so few African American men in C-suite roles. I wanted to understand their lived experiences. Specifically, what is their journey? What are they experiencing along the way? How are their experiences similar and different from others? What insights do they offer that other leaders can learn from as they hire and groom other African American leaders? Also, what advice do they offer to the next generation of aspiring African American C-suite leaders, especially those who are men?
