Tendering and Prequalification
After making a decision on project implementation strategy in the narrow sense, the client of an external project needs to select one or more external contributors to implement the project work. The toolkit for selecting contributors from among the potential contributors is tendering, and occasionally an associated prequalification. While tendering is a kind of competitive bidding, prequalification is a preliminary evaluation of the potential external contributors, based on a predefined set of criteria, before entering into the tendering phase.
