Security policies are a fundamental part of security, and VPNs are no exception. However, VPNs represent an enormous change in the philosophy of information security due to the inherent relationship with the Internet. This chapter is dedicated to providing a perspective on some of the risks associated with the Internet and its use for remote access solutions.
