Chapter 6. Software and Tools
I have an abstruse relationship with my tools. They are like mysterious friends that hang out on my computer and taunt me. I poke and prod at their enigmatic features, goading them to give me something unexpected and exciting. I’ll never get to know them as well as I’d like, but I do spend a lot of time working with and thinking about all the software I use.
In this evolving world of photography, we owe it to ourselves to become familiar with all the wonderful tools that have been created by brilliant inventors. It doesn’t appear that owning an assortment of software is a “trend.” I see no end to the variety of software tools that will become available and improve in the coming years.
