Opening (or Importing) Files from Other Programs
When you open a file that isn't in WordPerfect format, the file is automatically converted before it is opened. You may or may not see a message box that indicates a file is being converted—it depends on how fast the conversion process is. The more memory your machine has, the less likely you are to see this message.
WordPerfect supports the conversion of many modern formats, including the following:
Ami Pro 1.2, 1.2a, 1.2b, 2.0, 3.0
ANSI/ASCII (Windows and DOS)
