Chapter 10. Working with Layers and Layer Styles

Layers are a part of every document created by Photoshop Elements. For example, when you open an image file, the image is placed in the background layer of a document. A new layer is created whenever an image is pasted into the image window. You can also add fill and adjustment layers to correct colors in some or all layers in the document. Select, add, or remove layers from the Layers palette. The full capabilities of layers run deep and wide.
