from IBM who were creating Accelerated Discovery technology and
molecular biologists at Baylor College of Medicine. ey wanted to see if
there was some way to accelerate discovery around the protein P53. e
results of that eort were published in a paper in Knowledge Discovery
and Data Mining 2014 (KDD-14) [1]. Here, we describe some of the story
behind how we arrived at the result using the Accelerated Discovery meth-
odology described in this book.
