Arrival – The venue and setting up
Preparation is everything in many walks of life and live entertainment is no exception. In fact, it depends almost totally on good preparation as there is often little room to maneuver once the show has started, on the part of either the crew or the artist. The preparation starts well before the show when the original idea is hatched and is usually improved as time goes by but each show depends on its own specific setup. The initial arrival at the venue by the crew is when the decisions are made that can make the rest of the setup easier or harder.
