5. Lasso Selection Tools

This chapter shows how to use the Lasso, Polygonal, and Magnetic Lasso tools to get a more accurate selection of the area depending on the background. We’ll then review how to copy that selection on a new layer in the Layers panel.

Chapter 3 looked at basic selection tools, including the Rectangular Marquee, Elliptical Marque, and in Chapter 4, Crop tools. Those tools allow you to create a barrier around a sketch so that you can clean up selected areas with the Brush tool, Eraser tool, ...
