The human resources management knowledge area is directed at the project manager’s ability to build, develop, and manage a project team. It is the one knowledge area that does not have any monitoring and controlling processes. The focus of this chapter is understanding organizational structures and their impact on project success as well as the general business skills and interpersonal skills a project manager must possess to succeed.
