TECHNIQUES FOR EXPERIMENTING WITH ACRYLIC PAINT

Acrylic paint can be used in an endless variety of ways. Unlike oil, which must be applied “fat-on-lean,” acrylic paint can be mixed with various acrylic mediums to a wide variety of consistencies, which can be applied in any order. It can have the runniness of ink or can be as thick as clay. It can be glossy or matte, opaque or translucent, smooth or textured, and it can have any degree and virtually any combination of these characteristics.
