The idea of getting ahead in your acting career can be intimidating, especially when so much of it seems outside your control.

The goal of this chapter is to help you think about acting from a different point of view. Whatever your daily practice and perspective looks like now, you’ll be comforted to know that there are actors who approach their careers entirely differently. These approaches may or may not look appealing to you, but just knowing they exist can help to nudge you off the rung where you’re currently living.
