Configuring Sites and Subnets
After you’ve developed a site design or determined how you want to modify your existing site plan, you can use the Active Directory Sites And Services console to configure the necessary sites and subnets as discussed in this section. All sites have one or more subnets associated with them. IP addresses you assign to subnets determine where the site boundaries are established. As you create additional sites, you should identify domain controllers that will be part of the sites and then determine if you need to move the related domain controller objects to the site containers with which they should be associated.
