Agile’s approach to planning

The Agile approach to planning has five steps.

Be aware that what the article calls ‘product backlog’, we call the PRL.

1. Product vision

The Agile project life cycle starts with a pre-planning step. This includes collecting and prioritising the major products that are needed, the product backlog.

2. Product roadmap

The team and experts meet and provide high-level estimates for each feature.

3. Release planning

The next step is the planning of releases and iterations (the Agile meaning here of small steps.)
