Transforming in the Timeline Panel
The above tools are great for layouts, but we’ll want a little more power when it comes to animation. We’re going to look at the same functions (plus a few extras), but called from the Timeline panel, instead of the Comp panel. Doing it this way will allow us a bit more specificity, and unlock our animation tools.
Transform Properties
Click the >, which I call the triangle, next to a layer’s name in the Timeline panel to reveal editable attributes for that layer. All visual layers have a section for Transform. Click the Transform triangle to reveal the layer’s Transform properties.
