Blend Modes

The leftmost column in our Timeline Modes is Blend Modes, which all default to say Normal.

Blend Modes are alternate and more complex methods of creating amalgamations between two overlapping images.

Since Blend Modes in After Effects are identical to Blend Modes in Photoshop, I’m going to pass the microphone over to my friend and colleague, Photoshop guru Steve Laskevitch, to go over Blend Modes in detail. Take it away, Steve!
