Lights

Lights are another optional component of the 3D workspace, but they can dramatically change the look of your scene. Note that only 3D objects are affected by lights; 2D layers will appear normally. If you wish to use lights on 2D objects, check out the CC Spotlight effect.

Creating a Light

Add a light to your scene with Layer > New > Light. You’ll see the dialog at right.

These options can all be changed later, either in Layer > Light Settings or by unfurling the layer’s triangle and selecting Light Options. For now, let’s look at the four types of light that can be created, and the properties unique to those lights.
