Chapter 5. Placing Flash Video on a Web Page
All Flash Video content needs a Flash movie (SWF file) to play in a Web browser. In HTML documents, you don’t link directly to FLV files. Instead, you can add a Flash movie to the document and load the Flash Video content into that Flash movie using <object>
and <embed>
tags. You can also embed Flash Video into a SWF file, but embedded Flash Video is mostly a thing of the past—it’s easier to manage Flash Video content by loading the FLV files into Flash movies.
