Lesson 10. Cross-References and Footnotes

When you need a cross-reference, you specify its source and the wording to use (for example, See “Installing” on page 7). Later, if page numbers or headings change when you edit the source documents, FrameMaker 7.0 can automatically update the cross-references. FrameMaker 7.0 also rearranges and renumbers footnotes as you edit your document.

This lesson uses a travel guide on Hawaii as its sample. You will add some cross-references and footnotes to it. If you want to see completed versions of the sample files, open the Finished folder in the Lesson10 folder.
