Pencil tool updates
The first enhancement you’ll see is to the Pencil tool. In the January 2014 update of Illustrator CC, the Pencil tool has been improved to allow for better curve-fitting, the ability to draw straight segments, and the ability to continue the path from either end points of the path (as previously stated). Several new keyboard commands have also been added, as well as a change in the Pencil tool options.
Next, you will open a lesson file and work with the Pencil tool to create and edit a path.
1. Choose File > Open. Navigate to the LessonFiles_Illustrator17.1 folder. Select the file named “coffeelogo.ai” and click Open.
