Segment reshape improvements and touch workflows
In the January 2014 update to Illustrator CC, reshaping curved path segments with the Direct Selection tool, Pen tool, and Anchor Point tool (formerly the Convert Anchor Point tool) has been enhanced. You will see that you can now reshape a path segment (path between two anchor points) unconstrained. We will go through each of the tools and show the enhanced features.
Note
The reshape path segment workflows now support reshaping with touch input or touch-enabled devices.
Direct Selection tool reshape enhancements
Next, you’ll edit a path using the Direct Selection tool.
1. Select the Direct Selection tool in the Tools panel and click in a blank area of the artboard to deselect everything.
