Chapter Four. Editing Paths
There are two basic steps in editing a path in Illustrator:
Select the path
Edit it
Easier listed than done. There are many ways to select paths in Illustrator. And many, many, many ways to edit them. This chapter introduces you to the best ways to select paths, and explains several of the most common ways you will edit those paths.
You can select paths by using any of the five selection tools (Selection, Direct Selection, Group Selection, Magic Wand, and Lasso). Or, you can use a variety of menu options to select similar objects—for example, all blue objects.
