1 The Library
Although most of your time in Lightroom is spent editing photos, everything begins in the library. It’s where you add images, organize them, and make them easy to locate later. And the best part is that the library keeps track of everything, so you don’t need to remember, say, where the third revision of the fourth edit of a photo is stored on disk.
And if you’re cringing at the idea of photo management, rest easy: you can get by with the bare minimum or dive deep into organization, whichever approach is more comfortable.
