The Radius slider in the Local Adaptation HDR Toning dialog Edge Glow section (Figure 6.8) is said to control the size of the glow effect, but I prefer to think of this as a ‘global contrast’ control. Basically, the tone mapping process lightens the shadows relative to the highlights and the tone mapping is filtered via a soft edge mask. Increasing the Radius amount widens the halos.
