Chapter 8. Repairing and Retouching Images

Images aren’t always perfect. Maybe you want to clean dust and scratches off a scanned image, retouch spots and small imperfections on a person’s skin, or merge several pictures to create a stunning panorama view. This lesson covers all this—and more.

In this lesson you will do the following:

  1. Merge photos into a panorama.

  2. Use the Crop tool.

  3. Remove wrinkles and skin flaws using the Healing Brush tool.

  4. Restore a damaged photograph.

The work in this lesson should take you one hour or less. The lesson includes three independent exercises, so you can do them all at once or in different work sessions. The projects vary only slightly in length and complexity.
