Lower-Third Titles

Let’s introduce our speaker with a lower third, which is a title that sits in the bottom third of the frame.

Using the Type Tool

  • Hop to the beginning of the cut by dragging the playhead, or by pressing Home.
  • Select the Type tool from the Tools panel, or activate it with the hotkey T.
  • Then, click within the Program Monitor to create a text layer.
  • Type in a name, hit return/Enter, and then give a title to our speaker. Please be nice.
