Advanced Audio Editing

Way back when we created this Multi-Cam Source Sequence, we set our Audio to Camera 1. This is a little confusing—it doesn’t mean take audio from the Camera 1 feed. Rather, it means keep one continuous audio track, even when switching cameras. That audio track is derived from our good-quality .mp3 file, so we should be working with the best-quality audio we have. But let’s make it even better.

Keyframing Audio

When the speaker says “just behind the third fret,” there’s a dip in the source’s audio volume. Perhaps this is due to poor microphone placement, or an audio recordist nudging a dial, or an intentional error added to the file to create an interesting lesson. We may never know!
