The Interface
Premiere has a myriad of panels. Some, like the Project and Timeline panel, are essential; others, you may never need. Knowing which panel performs which functions is key to mastering the Premiere interface.
Workspaces
The arrangement of panels is called the workspace. Any workspace can display any panel; however, the preset workspaces will highlight panels that you may need in the moment, and hide unnecessary ones. The workspaces are fully customizable to your liking, and you can create your own entirely new ones.
Change your workspace preset by selecting one from the Workspaces panel.
