Files and Programs on the Web Site
Dreamweaver CS4 Bible Web site contains a host of extensions and auxiliary files to assist your explo-
ration of Dreamweaver, as well as your Web page design work in general. The following sections
provide a description of those files and programs.
Dreamweaver extensions
Dreamweaver is extremely extensible, and the Dreamweaver community has built some amaz-
ing extensions. In the Additional Extensions section of the Web site, you’ll find links to tons of
behaviors, server behaviors, objects, commands, inspectors, and more. The extensions are grouped
according to author, and within each author’s folder, they are organized by function. I’ve provided
links so you can get the latest versions directly from the author.
Where available, extensions are packaged in an
.mxp file, which can easily be installed using the Exten-
sion Manager. To run the Extension Manager from Dreamweaver, choose Commands ➪ Manage Exten-
sions. Then choose File ➪ Install Extension and browse to the location of the extension’s
.mxp file.
You’ll find a
ReadMe.htm file in each author’s folder, with links to the author’s Web site and more
information about his or her creations.
