This page of the wizard does not appear if you chose Edit Directly On Server Using Local
Network in step 6.
In the How Do You Connect To Your Remote Server? field list box, select the appropriate
option: FTP, Local/Network, RDS, SourceSafe Database, or WebDAV. If you do not know
which option to choose, or if you want to specify your server connection type later, select
None. (For more information on each of these options, turn to Dreamweaver’s built-in help.)
Depending on the option you choose, a set of suboptions appears. Respond appropriately
to these.
8. Click Next to move to the Sharing Files, Part 2 page of the wizard.
This page of the wizard does not appear if you chose None in step 7 or Edit Directly On
Server Using Local Network in step 6.
Select the appropriate option for the prompt Do You Want To Enable Checking In And
Checking Out Files? Select Yes to ensure that different people cannot edit the same docu-
ment at the same time. Select No if this is not a concern.
The Check In/Check Out system is a version-control system that is only effective if all
members of the development team have the setting enabled. When someone has checked
out a file, and you attempt to open it, Dreamweaver prompts you that the file is checked out. If some-
