Chapter Six Making Selections
One of my great privileges in life is having the opportunity to teach Photoshop at the Brooks Institute of Photography. From the get-go, the students are typically eager about learning how to make image modifications, adjustments, and corrections. My job is to redirect this enthusiasm and get them to realize that what they should be most interested in is learning how to make good selections. When working in Photoshop, you must select elements in the image before you can correct them. The quality of the selection often directly equates with the quality of the final adjustment.
