Chile is perhaps the country in South America that we visited that has most in common culturally with Europe. Compared to some other countries in South America the business setting in Chile is more formal. Punctuality is generally observed, while communication is more restrained and pragmatic.

Yet we found Chileans to be as people-oriented as the people that we met in Argentina, Colombia, or Uruguay. Focus is on the customer. Teams are like families. And business is built on earning trust and building ...
