With the world’s largest continent by population, the size of Asia’s workforce and the number of consumers cannot be ignored. Countries in Europe and North America surged ahead with development of their economies from the time of the Industrial Revolution, expanding and consolidating their power through empire building and colonization of other parts of the world. But as we move out of the industrial age it would seem that culturally, Asia is perfectly suited for the new age of knowledge work. Asian philosophies of paternalistic and supportive leadership, consensus building, people-orientation, teamwork, collectivism, and a balanced view between the short and long term are perfectly aligned with the Agile mindset.
