Economic analysis of membrane use in industrial applications

Abstract:
In this chapter an economic analysis applied to different membrane systems and applications is discussed. Methods used for economic analysis of new investment or for comparison between different choices for existing plants are also reported. The applications of these methods are then shown with analysis of a few case studies relating to existing industrial applications, where membranes are substituted for conventional treatment.
