Abstract
Based on cyber-physical components, automated production, and the huge amount of data available (e.g., historical data), Industry 4.0 requires some form of technical approach for its interaction with the components. A technical framework which runs permanently in the background is therefore necessary, and mathematics with its tools makes this possible.
