Abstract

Because of the compactness, higher reliability, and energy efficiency of a vapor compression refrigeration machine, solar photovoltaic (PV)-powered vapor compression refrigeration and cooling systems provide a great potential for various cooling applications. Recent progress of solar cooling based on PV panels is reviewed in this chapter. The main components, configurations, and classifications of systems are described.
